Creeping Phlox

This is my entry for Todays Flowers to see more beautiful flowers go and visit http://flowersfromtoday.blogspot.com/

Creeping Phlox seems to do well in our yard, another common name for phlox is Moss Pink.
We have various colors and have planted them around two ponds in our yard. This year they look beautiful to me. It is a ground cover and does well in full sun. Creeping Phlox can be included butterfly gardens.

Tulip Library

The Tulip Library is located near the Tidal Basin and between the Washington Monument and the Jefferson Memorial. The Tulip Library was estiblished in 1969 and has become a popular place to compare the various types of tulips. The National Park Service plants imported tulip bulbs from the Netherlands every year. The new plantings each year is to achieve uniform size, height and blooming periods.

I took a few photos of the various tulips during our visit a few weeks ago.
